On Saturday, May 3, 2025, the Language Center launched the 14th English Language Course at the University of Zakho. 

This language course is conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education, various scientific research centers, and governmental university language centers across the Kurdistan Region and the Imperial Institute in the United Kingdom.  

This course is for individuals pursuing higher education degrees, such as Master's and PhD programs, as well as to implement academic achievements such as obtaining a scientific degree. 

This course consists of four levels and each level is studied over a period of two months. According to the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education, applicants for a master’s degree or a scientific title in the field of humanities are required to successfully complete the Intermediate level within two months. For applicants to scientific departments and doctoral studies, successful completion of the Advanced level within two months is required.

For this training program, a total of 412 participants have successfully registered. They have their studies through both online learning and in classroom sessions.
